Welcome Cocktail Reception and Opening Presentation with Kathleen Bartholomew and Sandy Summers!

Join us Friday night for cocktails and mingle with others who are working to improve nursing's image. Truth founder Sandy Summers will lead us off with a film clip-packed presentation of media images of nurses, from sinners to saints, and how we can enhance public understanding of the profession. Then, after dinner, we'll hear noted speaker and author Kathleen Bartholomew discuss working relationships and effective strategies to improve them.

Saturday

A Day of Empowering Sessions Capped with a
Riverboat Jazz Dinner Cruise on the Mississippi!

Saturday is a day for empowerment as we learn how to change relationships, the media, and the world. Speakers include Hope Keller, Kathleen Bartholomew, and a representative of Rutgers University's 2012 Project, who will tell us how to get more nurses into politics.

Then join us for a Riverboat Jazz Dinner Cruise on the Mississippi River, where you can meet the conference speakers and your colleagues from far and wide as you enjoy the great cuisine and music of the Crescent City.

Sunday

The Grand Finale with Donna Cardillo!

Sunday morning we'll cap it all off with Ellen Ceppetelli, who will discuss how to educate decision-makers and physician colleagues, as she has done at Dartmouth College.

Finally, noted nursing speaker and author Donna Cardillo will send us off with some clear steps toward achieving empowerment in nursing!

We anticipate continuing education credits will be available.

The conference is just $425 (including a dinner / cocktail reception, two breakfasts, one lunch and two snacks)(plus $60 for the optional Riverboat Jazz Dinner Cruise).

The work that we will discuss and plan is critical in helping the nursing profession get the respect, resources, and recognition it deserves. It won't be the "big easy," but it will happen if we all work together!
